RBMA Spotlight: Ango

Montreal beatsmith Ango shot out of the 2010 Red Bull Music Academy in London like a rocket launcher. After years spent playing the legendary MTL Turbo Crunk parties alongside Lunice and Megasoid, Ango has spent the past year linking up with Glasgow label LuckyMe and performing all over the world, including a set at Barcelona's famed Sonar Fest featuring tons of unreleased material. Ango's sound matured and developed remarkably during his time at the 2010 RBMA, adding a polish that was absent from his earlier proto-R&B incantations. All that energy and focus has been harnessed in his new, refreshingly manic, performance style, captured below:
