Montreal native Tronald Trump is a man of many different styles/sounds/flavors. Over the last 8 years he has been earning his stripes playing clubs, bars, backyards, basements, fashion shows... You name it!

Getting put on by Skratch Bastid at his infamous Thursday night at Blizzarts, Tron got to flex what he had for a demanding crowd all while having one of the best mentors a thriving DJ could ask for. With this more moves were made, having known Guilty for years they decided to started up there own weekly night at Lola Lounge (RIP). This led to regular gigs around the city including the late great CODA (I will never forget that night with the legend Dj Premier), some only pictures could explain all night house jams, and he was on the Le Spank (Saturdays at Blue Dog) team during it's nearly 3 year run.

No matter how chique or shitty, the setting doesn't matter as much when you got the right music.

Sepalcure Mix for XLR8R

The UK gets most of the shine for the whole post-dubstep/future-garage/whatever-the-hell-it's-called-this-week scene, but a few US artists have been making some noise over on this side of the pond. One such act is Sepalcure, the Brooklyn-based duo of Travis Stewart (a.k.a. Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma. After years spent working together running the Cassette NYC club night and the online mix archive Percussion Lab, last year the producers joined forced in the studio, focusing on the soulful sounds of '90s house, 2-step, and UK bass music. Their debut, the Love Pressure EP, dropped earlier this summer on the esteemed Hotflush label, and now we've corralled the boys into assembling an exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast. And not to get all patriotic and flag-waving, but Sepalcure has done the US of A real proud here, expanding their sound palette even further while adeptly shifting tempos, moods, and styles over the course of 23 tracks and 51 minutes.

He holds down the weekly madness in the mainroom at Tokyo Thursdays (AND Fridays) as well as his own night, Le Spank at Blue Dog Motel, Saturdays.  He's unquestionably one of the most talented, experienced, and versatile DJs in Montreal. Truspin dropped this mix just in time to give us a clip of his tastemaking ability before competing in this years Red Bull 3style competition this friday at Telus Theatre.  This mix is just how we like it, electronic, dancy, but tasteful.  Perfect pre-gaming music.
