Phenomenal Handclap Band's latest video is a display of lush cinematography fused with dark thematic undertones. It's just under three minutes, giving an ironic take on the saying "short but sweet." Somewhat slower than most Phenomenal Handclap songs, "Baby" is a soulful ballad with an electronic tinge, but stays true to the band's psychedelic sound. The video draws heavily from Italian horror film director Dario Argento, which explains both the gory finale and the cool-factor.
I've seen a bunch of really great concerts in the last few weeks. Inspiration to see the bands came from stealing their music off the internet, naturally....so at the shows I went in and bought something to put money right in the artists pocket, especially because i was impressed. Got myself some CD and vinyls, whatever - not trying to be self rightous, but i gotta say its a good feeling. Anyways, lately been finding that these same said artists, are putting out great videos. I think this feeling is happiness... at the experience of a resurgence of music (instruments, vocals, lyrics) and the art of making it, for the art of making it.
Here they are...
