Lunice is is poised to bring his infectious hybrid of hyphy/turbo-crunk/jerk/boom-bap to a much, much wider audience. Between an upcoming tour with fellow MTLien Jacques Greene, a collaboration with Diplo, and the imminent release of his "Stacker Upper" EP on LuckyMe, Lunice is keeping himself busy.

A star to watch in the lazer bass galaxy. As half of the Mofomatronix DJ outfit, Montreal’s Philippe Aubin-Dionne was a fixture behind the decks at early Turbo Crunk parties, alongside Megasoid. As Hovatron, he went solo and evolved from DJ to producer/musician, fusing epic synths with beats to bomb the dancefloor. After a pair of mixtapes and a digital EP, Hovatron made his way to wax this year on his debut single “Gold Star Radiation,” backed by “Let's Get Wet.”

Truspin is Montreal's hardest working DJ. He holds down the weekly madness in the mainroom at Tokyo Thursdays (AND Fridays) as well as his own night, Le Spank at Blue Dog Motel, Saturdays. He's unquestionably one of the most talented, experienced, and versatile DJs in Montreal. Truspin dropped this mix just in time to give us a clip of his tastemaking ability before competing in this years Red Bull 3style competition this friday at Telus Theatre. This mix is just how we like it, electronic, dancy, but tasteful. Perfect pre-gaming music. There is no hard electro. No sirens. No brain wrenching distortion. Just blissfull sounds.
