Phenomenal Handclap Band “Baby” Video

Phenomenal Handclap Band's latest video is a display of lush cinematography fused with dark thematic undertones. It's just under three minutes, giving an ironic take on the saying "short but sweet." Somewhat slower than most Phenomenal Handclap songs, "Baby" is a soulful ballad with an electronic tinge, but stays true to the band's psychedelic sound. The video draws heavily from Italian horror film director Dario Argento, which explains both the gory finale and the cool-factor.

Phenomenal Handclap Band - Baby

OLDgOLD’s Midnight Minuet has recently been delving into some stop motion videos: first came Twinkle Toes, now comes Midnight Minuet, their very first experimentation with stop motion dance featuring an uncanny bunch of animal masks. To be honest, words can't really describe this video. I've watched it many times over, each time more and more mesmerized by the dance, image and sound. The second time I watched it, I could barely take my eyes off of the sinister shadow figures. Have a look for yourself here.

Photography by Omar Al-Samadi, dancing animals by Jonebone (Jonah Leslie) and Hatchy (Matt Morein) and music is Morino Gakudan by Susumu Yokota.

Revival Music (Videos)

I've seen a bunch of really great  concerts in the last few weeks.  Inspiration to see the bands came from stealing their music off the internet, at the shows I went in and bought something to put money right in the artists pocket, especially because i was impressed.  Got myself some CD and vinyls, whatever - not trying to be self rightous, but i gotta say its a good feeling. Anyways, lately been finding that these same said artists, are putting out great videos.  I think this feeling is happiness... at the experience of a resurgence of music (instruments, vocals, lyrics) and the art of making it, for the art of making it.

Here they are...

Barletta – “Whisper” Video

It's common knowledge that Barletta knows how to craft the perfect music for a reckless night out. Now, with the video of "Whisper," the first single off his debut EP for Tremendous Records, he goes a step further by capturing the visual essence of the "it" girl. At the MegaHurtz this Thursday, Barletta will definitely be bringing the pain!
